How It Works
The donation process is straightforward and guided at every step.
Submit an Enquiry
Use our collection enquiry form to express your interest in donating. Select "Donate my item" and describe what you'd like to give.
Curatorial Review
Our team will review your enquiry and assess whether the items are suitable for the collection. We'll contact you within a few business days.
Complete the Deed of Gift
If we proceed, we'll send you a personalised Deed of Gift link. You'll complete the form online and sign digitally — no printing required.
Arrange Delivery
ABMXM will be in touch to arrange collection or delivery of your donated items at a mutually convenient time.
Accession & Care
Your items are accessioned into the collection, fully documented, and cared for in accordance with museum standards.

The Australian BMX Museum collects items that document the history of BMX in Australia. All donations are subject to curatorial review.

Donate vs Loan
Donation
- ✓ Permanent gift — ownership transfers to ABMXM
- ✓ Items are accessioned into the permanent collection
- ✓ Subject to curatorial review
- ✓ Deed of Gift signed digitally
- ✓ Written acknowledgment of receipt available
Loan
- ✓ Temporary — you remain the owner
- ✓ Loan period agreed by both parties
- ✓ Items returned at end of loan period
- ✓ Inward Loan Agreement signed digitally
- ✓ Insurance arranged by ABMXM or lender
